The deadline for the Extreme Reads Competition, for all reading credits and for readathon money is 26th June. We look forward to receiving these from you!
Prizes will be awarded in the following week.
Also a reminder to Year 9 students to email their poems to me(ecurran@alexandrapark.haringey.sch.uk) so that I can send them off to Foyle’s Young Poet of the Year competition. Oh and well done for writing such fantastic poems!

We’ve had some fantastic entries for the Extreme Reads competition, so many thanks for this. It’s going to be difficult to judge! Some students have been absailing off mountains and having their picture taken. I’ve been very impressed with the inventive places you’ve found.

This is one for people who enjoyed reading Philip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’ trilogy (Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass). Or for those who enjoyed the film The Golden Compass – in which case you should definitely read the books as well!
